Jonas Wachtel is CTO of Circular Silicon Europe GmbH, a recycling technology company based in Braunschweig, Germany. His work focuses on the recovery of silicon, silver and copper from complex residue streams generated in photovoltaic recycling. At Circular Silicon, he is responsible for technology development, process scale-up and the industrial implementation of recovery routes for laminates, fines, granulates and cell-based fractions. Jonas combines technical process understanding with a strong focus on practical circular economy solutions. His goal is to close material loops in the solar industry and return valuable secondary raw materials to industrial value chains.
